Over a year since the death of Queen Elizabeth II and 6 months since the Coronation of King Charles III; I still feel incredibly honoured to have played a small part in the television coverage of these historical events.
HM The Queen’s Funeral was something my Father had been involved in planning since I was a child and it was an enormous privilege to operate the long lens camera that covered the funeral procession along the long walk into Windsor Castle.
As our Director reminded us before going on camera “We are creating a historical document that will be viewed forever…” so as far as shots go I’m not sure I’ll ever compose a series of more poignant frames.
For the Coronation of King Charles III I had the honour of operating one of the remote cameras inside Westminster Abbey, covering the Kings Oath and the Enthronement.
